The Mara Turing Book Series
The day everything changed
Imagine you're listening to music and you receive a mysterious message:
"I need your help."
It's your uncle!
He disappeared when you were 5 years old.
You can't believe it.
"He's dead," you think. But that voice insists:
"I'm alive and I need to see you again."
You are a girl who lost her father, and your uncle was the most special person. Now he invites you to travel to New York to learn programming... and hacking. But there are several complications: You can't tell your mother or your best friends. And you have been forbidden from using electronic devices since you were born (though you don't know why).
What would you do?
Step into the electrifying realm of Mara Turing, where over 100,000 readers have already been enthralled by a world of hackers, cyber secrets, and the pivotal choice: program or be programmed!

About 'Rise of the Hackers'
I gave it to my 12-year-old son and we are reading it together. It's very captivating and we are really enjoying it. I love how it incorporates computer science knowledge into the story. We will definitely buy the second one to continue the adventure.

Javi Padilla
Journalist and teacher
Javi Padilla is an entrepreneur and writer. He has spent over 25 years creating companies on the Internet. This has led him to observe firsthand how the younger generation is being "programmed" by social media. With the Mara Turing series, Javi Padilla aims to show both the good and bad sides of technology while readers dive into a universe full of challenges, learning, and mysteries.
For Javi Padilla, it is also essential that young people develop critical thinking. Readers who have read the first books of this saga already perfectly understand the difference between "programming" or "being programmed."
